# Adding Family Members

Learn how customer family accounts work in Swift, including how to add and manage family members

In Swift, a customer account can include an **Account Holder** and their associated **Family Members**, all managed under one Swift account.

This setup makes it easier for families to manage bookings, schedules, and payments without needing a separate account for each person.

For example, a parent can use their account to book lessons or classes for themselves and their children, then manage everyone's schedules in one place.

## **Adding family members**

In Admin, facilities can manage a customer’s family members directly from the customer’s profile.

Each customer account can hold **up to 10 family members**.

## **How to Add Family Members in Admin**

1.  Go to the **Customers** section  
    ​
    
2.  Open the customer's profile.  
    ​
    
3.  Under the Profile tab, click the **Add (+)** icon under the **Family** **Members** section.  
    ​
    
4.  The Add Member prompt box will appear which you can fill out the information  
    ​
    
5.  Click the **Done** button when complete.

## **Can Customers add family members themselves?**

Customers can log into their Swift account and add family members themselves. Any family members added will automatically appear under their **Profile** in the customer account on the Admin side.

## Making Bookings for Family Members

The Account Holder can make bookings for themselves or any family member listed under their account.

When making a booking through your facility's public booking page, they'll be prompted to select the profile for the participant attending the session. They can choose their own profile or the profile of a family member, ensuring the booking is associated with the correct participant.

For example, a parent can sign in to their account and book a lesson for their child by selecting the child's profile during the booking process.

## Memberships and Package Credits

Memberships and package credits associated with a customer account can be accessed and used by the Account Holder and all family members listed under that account.

This means family members can share access to eligible memberships and package credits and discounts without each person needing to purchase their own.

For example, if a parent purchases a package with credits for eligible services, both the parent and all their listed family members can use those credits toward their bookings.
